Members of AIMS gather regularly at regional and international conferences to share research, scholarship, pedagogies, and ideas on the state of Classical reception.
Last fall, AIMS opted to host a virtual conference via Zoom on December 11 and 12, 2020. All sessions will run in U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Panel and roundtable topics ranged widely, but emphasized such issues as classical genres, gender and sexuality, and the Other across the board. Uniting them all was close attention to the reception of antiquity in modern media.
Visit the Friday and Saturday program schedules for complete listings of sessions as well as links to abstracts. You can view the presentations themselves on the AIMS YouTube channel.
Registration is free, but required. To register, visit our Registration page. Registration closes Thursday, December 10, 6:00 PM (EST).
